2020 Saga Dawa Festival Starts

The 2020 Saga Dawa Festival, also known as the Buddha Auspicious Day (May 23 to June 21 of this year's Gregorian calendar) is a traditional festival of Tibetan Buddhism, which is called the Saga Dawa Festival in Tibetan. 

The believers of the southern Buddhist countries are also known as Vesak Day, which means full moon and sun. Buddhist believers, it is a very extraordinary and sacred day. 

It is associated with three important events in the Buddha's life, namely: birth, enlightenment, and nirvana, which are three auspicious days of celebration.

To thank the Buddha for his compassionate teachings, in April of the Tibetan calendar, many Buddhist were stop eating meat, dedicated to offering Buddhas, and some also fasten the meals.

On this special month, Buddhist people around the world seize the opportunity to complete all kinds of good deeds. Revealing confession and removing karma, and diligently practicing all kinds of good practices, doing freeing, giving, mantras, doing good, offering rituals, holding the commandments, etc.

The 2020 Saga Dawa Festival at Kailash will be held on June 5th. The 15th day of the Tibetan calendar is the most sacred festival of Tibetan Buddhism, and it is said that this day is the day of the birth, enlightenment, and death of the founder of Buddhist Buddhism, Shakyamuni. 

Never-ending pilgrims and tourists are making clockwise around the Mt. Kailash during the Saga Dawa festival. Especially on the 15th full moon day. You will encounter different kinds of people on the way to Kailash Kora.

Thus, this whole month of Saga Dawa is to accumulating satisfactory resources on the road to liberation!
